Black History Month Competition

For the African Heritage competition, the students in Room 111 read the book entitled "Mirror" by Jeannie Baker.

The students made a connection with the life of a child in Africa and their lives using puzzle pieces. In the story, there are two boys and two families. One family lives in Australia and the other family lives in Morocco, North Africa. The lives of the two boys look very different from each other. However, some things connect them; just as some things are the same for all families no matter where they live.

"We are the mirror of each other". 

Pyjama Day Tomorrow (Feb. 22)

Tomorrow is pyjama day! So just relax; rest assured that you don't have to decide on what to wear and come in your comfy onesie or pyjama. Youpie !!

Primary Winter Activity Day was a blast!

On Thursday, February 14th, the students in Room 111 had fun creating 3-D cards for their parents/guardians and making chocolate covered apples. They took part in an interactive and unique theatrical piece entitled "The Snow Queen" at our school gym.

We enjoyed our day!

Gymnastics with Miss Lowen

Today I witnessed my amazing students take part in an interactive gym program. They were able to show their talents in many areas of gymnastics. I am proud of you all!
